Silicone Dressings

POSM offers Silicone Dressings which are soft, flexible, self-adhesive dressings designed to help manage scars. It is commonly used for the treatment of hypertrophic (raised) and keloid scars, as well as for preventing abnormal scar formation following surgery, burns, or trauma. The dressing works by applying gentle, consistent pressure to the scar, which helps to flatten and soften it over time, while also keeping the scar hydrated.

The silicone helps to create a microclimate around the scar, which improves moisture balance and promotes optimal healing conditions. It can be worn comfortably for extended periods, typically up to 24 hours per day, and is discreet and easy to use, allowing patients to wear it under clothing without visible bulk.

These dressings are tailored for individuals with recent scars or those at risk of developing problematic scars, such as after surgery, burns, or injuries. It is also suitable for adults and children and can be used on scars anywhere on the body.

This dressing is designed for long-term use and can be worn continuously for up to several months, with visible results often appearing after about 4-8 weeks of consistent use.
